So long 2009, Hello 2010! 2009 was a good year for me.

- I turned 21 in Maui, one of the most beautiful islands on earth.

- I got my first university degree.

- I saw Italy (Rome) for the first time

- I went on two amazing trips to Las vegas.

- I saw my favorite band (No Doubt) live, front, and center.

- I won the halloween contest and won $1000

- I rung in the new year at my favorite bar (the Bank)

After some ill planning NYE 2009 looked like it was going to be a bust. But everything turned out ok and I made it down to the bank with a few minutes left to go to coat check, and ring in the new year!

All in all, 2009 was Legen.... wait for it.... dary! Hopefully 2010 will be as good!

Holidays...

5 finals later, and I am done with my first semester of my aftergrad degree. It feels good! Hopefully my marks hold up enough to apply and get into grad school this year! Hopefully this year is the year!

Christmas break should be good this year, I have just over 3 weeks off. The relaxation is what I am looking forward to most... and spending time with my amazing family, and my great friends. This weather, not so much. I need a snuggie. LOL.

4 to go. Finals have started, and what a start I had. What was supposed to by my easiest test, turned out to be kind of difficult. But I am very glad to have gotten one exam out of the way. Now the week of Hell will begin.

Tuesday: 9:00am

Wednesday 9:00am, 2:00pm

Friday 9:00am.

Then I am FREE for 3 and a half weeks!! Life will be good after this week. No more updates until Dec. 11...

I WON!

The costume contest for the Halloween Thriller ended this weekend, and I WON the grand prize!!! I won $1000$ in cold hard cash. =D . Such a good feeling when I picked up the cash. I got 385 votes, and Harman B said that I beat the second place winner by about 100 votes! I was, and still am so shocked! I couldn't believe I beat out people who had 4 teammates competing for the prize! It just goes to show that my friends are amazing! Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and helped me out! Such a great experience. Time to think of a great costume for next year, can I win again? LOL

On a completely unrelated note, school is about to kick my ass. I am done my finals the first week, December 11^th. Bittersweet. I am so happy I get over 3 weeks off, but I have no time to study! Tomorrow it's time to kick into study gear. I can't screw around for a while. But then it's celebration time Dec.11-Jan5. Woot woo.

Halloween 2009 was AMAZING. Jackie, Yodit, Sarah, and I went to the Halloween Thriller. It was so much fun.... I got nominated for best costume (1 of 15 out of 3000 people)! That's an accomplishment on it's own but I WANT TO WIN!!!!

Today was interesting, and I have come to the conclusion that IGNORANCE IS BLISS. What is ignorance? It is the lack of knowledge, uneducated, and unsophisticated. PERFECT definition. If only I could be as ignorant as some people I could be in a state of bliss like they are. -- LOL. What a joke.

Well, my grandma's surprise birthday party was a great success... minus the speech situation. I got a little bit emotional. That may be an understatement. My cousins from California are here, they are so cute, and loveable. Last Saturday the cousins all went out for dinner at the King and I, that was a lot of fun. And this week in school was good, pretty slack since all my midterms were last week, and I only had one this week. This weekend should be good, probably nice and chill.

I gotta check out ideas for my Halloween costume, I have 3 midterms the first week back after the Halloween weekend, but I don't care, I'm going out.

Well, it's officially October and that means a few things are going to happen.

For one, my grandma's surprise 75^th birthday party is on Friday. It looks like it's going to be a great party. AND October means HALLOWEEN!!!! Oh how I love this holiday. I can't wait to dress up and party again this year! I have a costume in mind, but I need to get some materials together before it is a sure thing. And why am I up so late on a weekday? October is midterm month at school, so I am studying of course.... well minus this little study break. I have a midterm on Friday, and I'm not too sure if I am ready for it yet. UGH. school sucks.

Yesterday was a weird day. It started off not so well with my CHRTC presentation, I'm pretty sure it didn't go to great. But that was the worst of my day, and the rest of my day seemed to be pretty great actually. After school, I got a phone call from "Mike" saying he got my number from Jackie and asked me to make him a Burberry purse cake for tomorrow ... yeah I have no clue why I got this good phone call. So I text Jackie and tell her she's an idiot for giving people my phone number for "special cakes." She doesn't know what I'm talking about, oh well, we decided to go to Joey's to drink to drink and have a good Friday. A few Super Stoked Vodka Cokes later and Jack and I are cracking up reminiscing about Vegas, for 4 hours! Haha ... All in all, the day started out pretty bad, but turned out to be a good good night!

Well, today was the last day that they may have called me that I got into the SLP program if someone left the program... No one called. Boo. Looks like I will definitely be in Education this year. Hopefully next year will be my year!

So, school started about 1 week ago, and I'm really not feeling it... I would much rather be in the MSc SLP program, but having to wait on the wait list, I decided I had to change my plans, for the elementary education after degree program, just in case. It's fun so far, but not 100% what I want to do. Oh well. I'll keep applying to SLP until I get in, hopefully that's next year!

p.s. I hope I stick to writing on this, at least a couple times a week.

OK, here it goes:

It's been 4 weeks of me trying to fix things. You've avoided me for all of this time, with weak excuses every time you actually did answer my phone calls or texts. Well I just want to say that I've officially given up, and I'm sad. Not sad because I lost a friend, sad because of how you've treated me this month. Everything you've done is laughable, because you didn't think I would find out about it, but I have. Don't think that the lies you give me hold up to the truth everyone else tells me.

I'm done asking people for help to find you so that I can talk to you, because you will just run away again.

I'm done texting you in the early afternoon waiting for responses that don't come until the next day, if that.

I'm done telling people how upset I am, and that I just want to talk to you, instead I am going to be the most civil person towards you, say "Hi" when I see you, smile and nod, but that's about it. I hope you stop talking shit about me behind my back, because I've heard it all. I hope you don't think I'm saying this to hurt you, because I'm not. I'm saying this to show you how much you've hurt me. I hope you have a good life. Honestly I do, and I wish only the best for you.

Oh dedication to this, and my plans on posting about my summer clearly did not happen as well ad I'd hoped. Tomorrow is the first day back to school, my first day into my Bachelor of Education after degree. I'm ready for it, but would have much preferred getting into speech path this year. Well they said that I could find out somewhere up until September 16th to get off the wait list and get in this year. So here's hoping.

Well, I definitely lost track of time, and kind of gave up on this, but my summer has been so much fun lately, I have already done so much, and I can't believe I still have 2 months left.

Rome was absolutely amazing, there was so much to see in Rome, and 6 days definitely was not enough to be in Europe. I think it was enough to see Rome, but other than one city, not enough. I loved seeing the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum, and Vatican. The food was amazing, and the people were so cultured. I cannot wait to visit Europe again, hopefully for longer next time!!!! Even though it was just me, my uncle, and a friend of his, we had a great time in Rome.

A couple days after I got back from Italy, me and Stephanie headed over to Vegas for a fun filled weekend. We got there on Wednesday night, and stayed until Sunday afternoon. Wow, what a weekend. I went expecting to have a good time, but I had an unbelievable time! That city seriously does not sleep. We went to a Piano bar in New York New York, Studio 54, Pure and Tao. Tao nightclub is by far the absolute best nightclub I have even been to in my life. It has a roof top pool and nightclub, and is set up to be a great bar! Stephanie had a couple run ins, most evidently, her feet took a beating that weekend. But we had a blast. We would stay up all night and sleep for a couple hours before heading to the pool. I had so much fun playing blackjack in the hotel too. Met some really cool people from all over the states and even Brazil! I cannot wait to go back there!

June 10^th was mine and Anthony's convocation. We both graduated from Arts, I majored in Linguistics, and Anthony majored in Psychology. Convocation was so much fun, it was a little bit too hot in the Jubilee tho. Kirsten also went to convocation so we took some pictures together. On Thursday we had family over for dinner, to celebrate our graduations

Change of Plans...

Today we were supposed to go to Calgary for the day, but some people couldn't go anymore so we decided to go another day when everyone could go. Last night, Mike had a house party, it was a lot of fun, until pretty much every neighbor mike was close to came to complain about the noise. Yodit, Jackie, and Krystle came to pick me up at 12:00 and go to vinyl, we partied there for awhile, and when it closed, we moved the after party to allegro. mmm.

This afternoon I went to costco, and there I noticed that they served vanilla chocolate twist cones. But before I get to ahead of myself let me explain one thing: Amie told the most heart-wrenching story of how distraught she was when McDonald's stopped serving twist cones. I promised to her that this summer I would find her twist cones. I sent her a message on facebook and told her that I found what I was looking for her. I surprised her by taking her to costco, and to say the least, she was pumped! I was really happy that she was happy.

Tonight, I think I'm heading out to Diesel with some people, haven't been there before so it should be interesting...

Last Night ...

Last night (05-15-09) Val, Amie and I went to the comic strip... Michael McDonald from MadTV was there. To say the least he was hilarious!!!! The same could not be said for his opening act. This guy comes up on stage and starts his night off making fun of Anne Frank. The crowd was pretty much silent when he was on, and he actually had to ask the audience if we liked him and thought he was funny. It was a lot of fun when Paul Brown (from the Bear radio) and Michael McDonald were on. I've only been there twice in my life, and it seems that it will never fail; I will always be sitting one or two tables away from the annoying assholes in the club that will laugh and call out things to the comedian that no one wants to hear, and ruin the jokes of the comedian. Afterwards we headed to the keg, just to chill in the lounge. All I have to say about that is that my friends are winos, but I love them.

I'm going to Calgary for the day tomorrow; that should be a lot of fun!

Another Epic Wednesday

Last night (05-13-09) was another awesome Wednesday night at the bank with jack and krys. Me and Jackie did shot for shot and we were both trying to be the winner. After a drink that i guzzled by myself when Jackie was taking out money I was +1 without her knowing. Downstairs Adam bought blueberry vodka + redbulls for everyone, I took mine and Krystle's and now I was +2, but Jackie thought I was only +1, so she took two shots without me know making us even again. At the end of the night, I picked up my last vodka sprite but told Jackie it was just water, and after last call I let her try my drink!!! I won!!! Final score was 15-14. HAHA. sneaky sneaky.

05-09-09, and Mother's Day

Last night, me, jack and krys went out for the 4th time in 6 days. no biggie at all, except for the fact that i don't have much money left haha. We started our night off at the staple for restaurants on jasper ave... joey's. mmm. We couldn't go to the bank again so we decided to go visit Pino at Lucky13. A few free shots, and some vodka sprites later me and jack were back at a shot-for-shot challenge, and we realized that we were 8 shots in. good times. The night actually ended earlier than typical and i was home by 3.00am. haha. oh man. good times.

Today was mother's day. I bought my mom a digital photo frame. Don't even get me started... i bought her the more expensive one that was a little bit smaller , but better quality ... she wants the bigger one... FML. everyone came over for a barbecue. That was nice. It was a nice and relaxing day, but to tell the truth, I was getting bored around 10.00pm, and wanted to go out!!! haha. Taking it easy for a bit, probably going to go visit shmo tomorrow. love her.
